|
Four cases of Edward syndrome associated with prenatal abnormalities by prenatal ultrasound, confirmed by chromosomal analysis, is reported with brief review of the literatures. The prenatal ultrasonographic finding of trisomy 18 was
polyhydramnios
placental subchorionic cyst, fetal scalp edema, fetal pleural effusion, and fetal cardiomegaly. Prenatal diagnosis of trisomy 18, a lethal defect, is important for proper patient counseling and management.
